Welcome to Primary
The Primary Provision at Cranbury College has a service for those children who are permanently excluded from school or those at risk of permanent exclusion.
The Primary setting is set up around Nurturing principles and children undergo continuous assessment both baseline and ongoing to identify the child’s particular needs. That information is then used to develop an individualised and bespoke package of education. The package is designed to enable the child to make the maximum amount of progress with the appropriate support. After a period of intervention from the team the aim is to either reintegrate the child back into mainstream or to work with the local authority and parents to assess whether a specialist placement would be more appropriate.
The Primary Provision also offers an Outreach service. Cranbury College Outreach is a team of specialist staff that go into schools to help staff in schools to improve standards in behaviour and learning. Specialist support staff support teachers and students who have an identified Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This outreach service is provided for maintained Local Authority schools and Academy’s can access the service through a service level agreement. The link to our SLA is www.reading.gov.uk/schoolservices/behaviour-services-cranbury-college-outreach-part-/
